Total Energy USA announced the formation of the executive committee for the inaugural tradeshow. The roster includes former Shell Oil president John Hofmeister, as well as retired Vice Admiral Dennis McGinn, who now leads the American Council on Renewable Energy.

Greg Ortale is president and CEO of the Greater Houston Convention & Visitors Bureau, which is developing the tradeshow.

“We’re pleased with the number of exhibitors who have signed up. We’re right on target for that. A number of countries have actually taken space. We’re also on target in terms of the cross section of the energy industry. It’s not just about petroleum and petrochemical.”

Ortale anticipates Total Energy USA will draw 7,000 visitors in its first year. The conference and exhibition will take place at the George R. Brown Convention Center from November 27 through November 29.
